ABOUT US

Bankstown Women’s Health Centre is a community-based non-government organisation initiated by women, for women. It provides free or heavily discounted services to women from Bankstown, South Western Sydney, the Inner West and wider Sydney.

Services include medical clinics, generalist counselling, child sexual assault counselling, remedial massage, naturopathy, legal outreach services and Vietnamese women’s health. Our female doctors specialise in women's health issues such as Pap smears, breast checks, pregnancy, contraception and menopause. We also offer a wide variety of groups, including Tai Chi, Yoga, Meditation, Belly Dancing, a Vietnamese Women's Support Group and Craft.

The service operates under feminist principles and offers a holistic approach to health care that incorporates the body, mind and emotions. It acknowledges the role of gender in the social determinants of health, and aims to promote gender equity in health.
